50 percent of Government Schools lack basic infrastructure facilities
Almost 25 thousand Schools do not have proper toilets for girls.

According to the analytical report launched by Karnataka State education Department almost 25 thousand Government schools are lacking the basic Infrastructure facilities.
The report based on the District information system for education (D.I.S.E.) shows that out of fifty – thousand Government Schools almost 5o percent lack one or the other basic facility. These comprise School Compound, toilets, Playground, libraries, drinking water, electricity, etc.

“Mr. Patil, The Joint Commissioner, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan said “managing with nearly 33 education districts with about two hundred and two blocks and nearly about two thousand seven hundred cluster centers it is very difficult to manage and plan for the Schools, but all these gaps are now on the way to be completed and definitely it’s going to be bridged totally. May be another one year, all these infrastructure wise, facility wise will be 100 percent achieving things.”

H.N. Geetha, in charge Head Master, Yashwantapura Government School found the need of more efforts from Government side and said “ The Government to give some more attention towards these problems, there is a lack of infrastructure. School building, Electricity, Computer education, along with the basic facilities even the other infrastructure facilities are also needed.”

Parents are worried about their children not getting proper. Vimla has all six of her children in Government School. She said, “There is no proper drinking water, electricity, not even a proper education, many a times due to the polluted School water my children fall sick.”
Although Government has accepted its limitations but we are yet to see the steps it is going to take to overcome these limitations.

Meri Seemayein aur Kartavya

October 7, 2009

Poem which won me many national and international level prizes.

1st position in IIMB is one of them.

Mai yeh nahi kehta ki mai duniya ko jeet lunga…

par apni indriyo pe to hukumat jata hi sakta hu,

sare vishwa ko nahi to antar maanav ko to jaga hi sakta hu…

mai chahat nahi rakhta aasmano me uadane ki…

par khuli hawa me apne par to phaila hi sakta hu…

bhale duniya mujhe mayur ya hans na kahe…

par azaad panchhi to kahala hi sakta hu…

Gaazi (Battle ground fighter) ki maa kehlana meri maa ki kismat me nahi shayad…

par rann me apna sheesh kata kar shaheed to kehala hi sakta hu…

apni maa ka achok rinn man hi man to chuka hi sakta hu…

mai noor nahi is duniya ka…

par is andhiyaari dharti par ujala to phaila hi sakta hu…

sachche path k raahi ko raah to dikhla hi sakta hu…

mai samay k sath nahi chalta…

yu chalna meri aadat me nahi,,

ik din dhokha khaunga…

mai samay se hu, samay mujhse nahi…

thokar khane k pahle na sahi..

lekin baad me to swayam ko neend se jaga hi sakta hu…

samay ko apna mitra to bana hi sakta hu…

ye to baat thi ki mai kya kar sakta hu..

ab baat hai ki mujhe kya karna hoga…

kartavya bodh ki pustak ko padhna hoga…

aazaad desh me rehta hu isiliye kehta hu…

ki lahu k jin qataro me nahati ye aazaadi hume mili hai…

un qataro me ghute balidan ka anusaran karna hoga…

sahas k sagar me bhraman karna hoga…

sampradyikta va bhrashtachar ka vaman karna hoga…

roshan chirag-e-aman karna hoga…

atma ki partantrata ka daman karna hoga…

agar chaha hai zindagi me kuchh karna to mere yaar…

sarva prathama is Matri Bhumi ko naman karna hoga…

aasmaan me udta har panchhi mujhse madad ka hath chahta hai…

dharti ka ek ek kann qayamat ki is ghadi me mera sath chahta hai..

dol rhi hai dharti saari…

ab aayi hai dosto apne paurush ko jagane ki baari…

ahsaaso ki lutiya duba di gayi hai…

maanvata marghat pe jala di gayi hai…

jeevan path pe chalne walo yaad rakho…

ab Gandhi aur Bhagat k bina hi chalna hoga..

lekin kadamo ko aage badhna hoga…

akele dam kuchh karna hoga…

Dharti maa khatre me hai…

aur meri maa k liye mujhe kaal se bhi ladna hoga…

apni seemao ka hume ilm nahi hai yaaro…

apni aatma ko jagake.. apne irado ko jata ke…

kuchh kar ke dikhana zulm nahi hai yaaro…

ik baar patal pe aake to dekho…

meri aawaaz se apni aawaaz mila ke to dekho…

are itni taaqat hai apni humkar me …

ki phunk marein to garjana ban jaenge…

in hatho se sab hath ek bar jo mil jaenge..,

to is mutthi ki maar se saari duniya me faili haiwaniyat k kuchh tukde idhar to kuchh udhar jaenge…

tab aankh khol kar dharti par dekhna…

us din ke manzar me chaaro taraf sirf insaan, insaan aur insaan nazar aaenge…

insaan nazar aaenge…

Dhanyawad

Journalism in India

August 29, 2009

India – World’s largest democracy with the second highest population of around 113 Crore.(Source- www.indexmundi.com), Journalism in India means envisaging a country where Crores of  people are living below poverty line( source- www.indexmundi.com),  Lakhs of skilled people are fighting for employment, names of thousands of politicians are being registered under corruption cases. Per month hundreds of people get infected with HIV virus… Around 48 farmers commits suicide in Vidarbha within a month (Source- economictimes article ), In city like Bangalore, one of the cleanest  cities of the country, more than one person is dieing of Swine Flu daily.

I always remains in a dilemma that whether Journalism in India is a tough job or an easy task , because here people are never ready to reveal truth. But at the same time when such enormous information is yet to be revealed then there must be a lot perspectives for a Journalist to reveal the hidden reality within the society. As you step out of your home you can find the Story Idea.

In the country where politicians are sucking people’s lives, then will it be possible for a Journalist to express himself? But isn’t it a  best moment to start with the Journalism because these corrupt politicians are themselves making environment for you to write or speak  about.

Today, when large number of people still cannot read and write, not aware of there rights and duties, how the hell you will be able to do the journalism? but in contrast, isn’t it the best opportunity for you  to make people aware of their existence in this Democracy and do justice with your work as it is the primary job of a journalist.

At the end, You will always be opposed in this country to raise your voice, but don’t you think it is the best time to speak when everybody is silent, I am here for Journalism Because I want to be heard, Yes India!! I am ready!
